Allow me to introduce myself...
My name is Elizabeth Pasko
and I've been a licensed aesthetician for more than 20 years. Before becoming a business owner, I worked as both a massage therapist and aesthetician in such places as The Sonnealp, Gainey Village, and the Camelback Inn. I am also the former owner of Della Bella Acne & Skin Care Center, Portland, OR. I am so excited about the opening of SkinCycle in my new-ish home in North Plains, and I am looking forward to helping YOU achieve your skin care goals - whether it be aging more gracefully and naturally, or acne management. Knowledge is power, and I will educate all clients throughout their skin care journey on the whats (what is the issue), the why's (why do we have the issue), and the hows (how we are going to get to where we want to be).
It is my job to not only teach what I can, but lead those who have entrusted me to their skin care needs into good habits that will equate to great skin for them both now and later in life.
My Story
Skin Care has always been a passion of mine, which started, I believe, by spending hours watching my mother make herself up. I can still see her at her vanity, with her hair in rollers and a plethora of drugstore-beauty items before her.
Skin care became more serious when I saw my first pimple. For me and most of my generation, Sea Breeze was the go to solution for pimples and skin in general. We had no idea what we were doing.
The summer of my 16th year, my mother's friend introduced me to a Mary Kay rep, and I loved how great my skin felt after my 'facial.’ Needless to say, my first paycheck that summer ($35) was not put into a savings account - I spent it entirely on MK skincare. From then on I was hooked. Taking care of my skin became a priority to me, and eventually became my life's work.
I started my first business, Della Bella Acne and Skin Care Center, in 2008 in Portland, Oregon. Here I refined my skills and my love for skin health and caring for clients only grew. In 2016, I walked away from Della Bella (an extremely hard decision) in order to travel more extensively while I still could, and to take a much needed mental health break. Throughout my travels in the EU, I found myself still discussing skin with almost everyone I met. As soon as people found out what I did for a living back in the States, it was the number one conversation.
Many life changes later, including a move to North Plains with two special-needs horses in tow, I am back in my aesthetician saddle. I am hoping to see some familiar faces and am looking forward to working with new ones. The emotional bond that builds between client and skin therapist whilst in the trenches is real. Some years removed now from coaching clients, I can still recall each person's symptoms, and the highs and lows of their skin cycles during their sessions. The mission to obtain better skin for each individual became personal to me, and that's why I remember them all. They taught me as much as I taught them, and I am forever grateful for those experiences. Their journeys were also my journey to being a better aesthetician, and human in general.
When not working with SkinCyclists, I work on my farm caring for the horses, two special needs cats, and a large German Shepherd. It's a lot of work, but it's rewarding, full-filling, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
